Security Trainer
Are you an experienced Security Trainer (airports, courts, freight). Be part of a team who trains the first line of defense in aviation security at Brisbane airport! Full Time, Mon to Fri, 8am to 4pm. Free parking onsite.
Our team is growing and we are currently seeking several Security Trainers at our Brisbane Airport location, employed on a Full-Time basis. These roles require being onsite 5 days per week (Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm). These roles are providing training to our Aviation Protection Officers who provide passenger and baggage screening at the security checkpoints to ensure the safety of the travelling public.
The Position:
- Responsible for conducting training and assessment activities for internal training programs
- Oversee day to day operations on site and ensure correct procedures are followed through
- Deliver internal face-to-face training in accordance with set timeframes and schedules
- Notify relevant stakeholders of training and/or assessment outcomes.
- Delivery of excellent customer service and positive communication to all trainees
- All other reasonable tasks as directed by the Training Coordinator or Training Manager

What skills and experience you require
The Aviation Security Trainers will be delivering the Certificate II in Transport Security Protection. If you do not have this qualification already, ISS will put you through the course.
This role will require you to meet the below minimum requirements:
- Certificate IV Workplace Assessment and Training (TAE40116 or equivalent).
- Relevant screening experience (to meet RTO requirements as a trainer/assessor (aviation passenger/baggage screening or experience in similar environment such as security at courts and government institutions)
- Demonstrated ability to deliver training that is effective and motivate learners
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Sound reporting history/performance record as a workplace mentor
- Compliance and safety focused attitude
- Participate in training or assessment development.
- A positive and proactive approach with outstanding interpersonal skills
