We are currently looking for a resourceful Maintenance Officer who will be working closely with the maintenance team to provide general repairs, maintenance and assist Facility Manager at a global food manufacturing facility in Blayney working Full Time (38 hours per week).  The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, with flexible start and end times (e.g. 9am to 5pm or 7am to 3pm).  This is a great opportunity to take your previous experience to the next level.

Here is a snapshot of what you will do:

  • Ensure the completion of all general maintenance and relevant repairs to the facility (minor plumbing, carpentry work)
  • Carry out site inspections to identify, report and action
  • Liase with contractors required onsite as required (electricians, etc)
  • Assist and complete in inventory and stocktake. 
  • Undertake audits and monitor and track contractor hours
  • Step up to cover for the Facility Manager, when they are on leave

What will you possess to be successful: 

  • Experience in a similar handyman/general operative role is essential
  • Comfortable with use of Facility Management software for submission of audits and stocktaking
  • Willing to complete a pre-employment medical and be vaccinated for Q fever (at own expense)
  • Pass an Australian National Police Check
  • Can do attitude and a drive to ensure service delivery is achieved where required
