We have exciting opportunities for Quality and Compliance Officers, who will be responsible for undertaking regular site audits to ensure that the cleaning services delivered primary and secondary schools across the region conform to high-quality standards and comply with all contractual obligations, including industry standards and best practices.

 

These roles will be Full Time 12 month Fixed Term contracts, working from our office locations along the North Coast (such as Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie) and travelling across the North Coast region.  A company vehicle will be provided.

 

As the Quality and Compliance Officer your role will entail a multitude of tasks related to Quality and Compliance, Auditing, Training, WHS and operational Requirements, both legislated and contractual compliance requirements are met and maintained across all sites and site types. 

 

Your duties and responsibilities will entail:

  • Compliance inspections at all Government Sites (schools and government buildings – police stations, ambulance stations, etc) across the North Coast region to ensure adherence contract and legislative requirements.
  • Conduct regular cleaning site audits and reviews and assess service quality against contractual agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate on site compliance behaviours and support the site teams in learning and development, escalate any non-conformance to KAM or Operations Manager.
  • Review and update site registers as required including site risk assessments, chemical registers, MSDS and escalate short falls or non-conformance.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home within the contract areas.
  • Pro-actively assist in the development of a culture that is consistent with the ISS corporate objectives and supports the Operation Team by being team focused and having a ‘can-do’ approach

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an environment that requires a focus on quality, compliance and safety.
  • Data interpretation and report writing experience Advanced level competency with Microsoft Excel
  • Certificate in Internal Auditing (ISO 9001/14001/45001) or experience in the Facilities Management or Cleaning Services industry.
  • To be highly organized and possess great time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comply with all health, safety and environmental (HSE) legislation, Regulations and Codes of Practice, as well as Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Policy and Standards relevant to area of responsibility.
  • A clear New South Wales police clearance, within 3 months of issue.
  • Already hold or able to pass a NSW Working with Children Check.

 

Desirable skills and qualifications:

  • Experience with administering Quality Systems and Software (Auditing)
  • Exposure to a medium to large employee base
  • Experience within Facilities management (single service – Cleaning or Integrated Facilities Management – multiple service lines (cleaning, catering, etc)
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Basic Certificate in First Aid
