Position: Minesite & Village Events Manager
Location: ISS Roy Hill
Type: Full-Time
Roster: 8 days on, 6 days off

About Us:
At ISS we believe in fostering a strong community spirit within our minesite and village operations. We are committed to creating a positive, engaging environment for our workforce, and we’re looking for an experienced Events Manager to plan and execute a variety of events that bring our people together.

A Snapshot of What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and Execute Events: Organize and manage a diverse range of events, including social gatherings, team-building activities, cultural celebrations, and wellness programs for the minesite and village residents & visitors.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while delivering high-quality experiences.
  • Coordinate Logistics: Handle all logistics, from venue selection and setup to catering, transportation, and accommodation arrangements.
  • Engage the Client: Work closely with employees, contractors, and village residents to understand their needs and interests, ensuring events are relevant and well-received.
  • Promote Events: Develop and implement communication strategies to promote events, including creating promotional materials, managing RSVPs, and maintaining event schedules.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring all services meet quality standards.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Gather feedback and conduct evaluations after each event to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in event management, hospitality, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful event execution.
  • Creativity: A creative thinker with the ability to design engaging and innovative events that cater to a diverse audience.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, remote working environment and manage events in unique settings.
  • Problem-Solver: Quick thinker who can handle unexpected challenges with poise and efficiency.
